Celery Root Mash

Ingredients:

2 pound celery root

1/2 cup milk or cream

3 tablespoon unsalted butter

Salt to taste

 

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a simmer.

  2. Peel the celery root with a knife and cut into 1-inch cubes. 

  3. Boil for 25-30 minutes or until celery root is soft.

  4. Drain the pot and put the pot back on the stove on low heat. Cover and let the celery root steam for a minute or two. 

  5. Add the milk or cream, butter, and salt, then mash well. 

  6. Serve and Enjoy.
